January 2025 update from Crime Prevention Team |
||
Dear Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator,
Did you see the recent Cheshire Alert message sent by the Crime prevention team? The message was in relation to vehicle crime and safety during the winter months with measures that can be taken to protect yourself. Please find a summary below and disseminate to neighbours, friends and family where possible.
On frosty mornings do not be tempted to leave your vehicle unattended whilst defrosting your vehicle. Many motorists will either leave their vehicle insecure or will lock the doors with a spare key whilst they go inside. Remember it only takes a matter of seconds for a thief to drive away with your car! Here is some advice to keep you safe on our roads during the winter months: Winter Driving Safety Advice Cold weather can create hazards on the roads. Motorists need to pay due care and attention on the roads in the winter and be able to adapt to changing conditions. Even the most experienced drivers can find themselves getting into difficulties when the roads are icy. Ask yourself whether your journey is necessary. Before you set off on your journey
As always, thank you for your continued support!
Kind regards,
